MAYBE IT’S OK

“Maybe it’s okay if I’m not okay.” These words push against the pressure to appear fine when we’re unraveling inside. Brokenness, rejection, shame, and weakness—all of these are common human experiences. Yet, the lyrics remind us that the same God who holds the stars holds our lives too. We do not need to hide or pretend; we are invited to bring our whole selves before Him.

In our workplaces and personal lives, we often wear masks of competence or strength. But a biblical worldview offers a radically different perspective: humanity is fallen and in need of redemption, yet deeply loved and created in God’s image. That truth liberates us from shame and striving. In Christ, we are made whole—not by our perfection, but by His mercy. 2 Corinthians 12:9 says, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” This is not a flaw in the system—it is the system. God uses our broken places as the backdrop for His healing and glory.

As the song continues, it declares the desire for God’s kingdom to come, here in our hearts as in Heaven. That’s the cry of a surrendered life—one shaped by a biblical worldview that trusts God’s sovereignty, rests in His redemption, and longs for His restoration.

So maybe it’s okay to not be okay—because we were never meant to carry life alone. We are held, known, and being restored by the One who never lets go.

PRAYER

Lord, thank You for holding me even when I feel like I’m falling apart. I trust Your strength in my weakness. Help me live from a place of honesty, humility, and hope, knowing You are making all things new.

APPLICATION

Choose one area of life today where you’re struggling. Acknowledge it before God, then declare aloud: “It’s okay not to be okay—because God is holding me.”
